Welcome to the support page for GN Viewer, a private, on-device media viewer for photos, GIFs, WebPs, and videos. If you need help with the app, you’ll find answers to the most common questions below.

PIN & Security

How do I set or change my PIN?

Open the GN Viewer app and go to Settings → Security → PIN to set or change your unlock PIN. Your PIN is stored securely using iOS Keychain / Android encrypted storage.

What is the Duress PIN?

A Duress PIN instantly wipes all content stored in GN Viewer when entered on the unlock screen. Use this only if you fully understand the consequences — the wipe cannot be undone.

Managing Your Media

Where is my media stored?

All imported media (photos, GIFs, WebPs, videos) is stored only in your device’s private app storage. Nothing is uploaded or transmitted to our servers.

How do I import media?

Open GN Viewer, then tap the Import button in the gallery or album screen and select the photos or videos you want to add.

How do I export media back to my device’s Photos app?

Long-press media in the gallery, choose Export, and then select a destination from the iOS share sheet or Android system share menu.

Viewer & Slideshow

How do I start a slideshow?

Open any media item, tap the slideshow icon in the top bar, adjust your settings (such as shuffle or duration), and start the slideshow.

What are “Pro” features?

Some slideshow effects (for example, overlays, bounce-to-beat, and text slideshows) can be temporarily unlocked by watching a rewarded ad. No subscription or login is required.

Privacy & Data

Does the app upload my media?

No. GN Viewer does not upload or transmit any media, PINs, or user content to our servers.

Does the app track me?

GN Viewer itself does not track user behavior. Google AdMob may collect limited device information for rewarded ads. You can review or change your ad consent settings inside the app under Settings → Privacy & ad choices.

Where can I revoke ad consent?

Tap Settings → Privacy & ad choices to reopen the Google AdMob consent form and update your choices.

🛠️ Troubleshooting

My media is missing after reinstalling the app

Media is stored only in private local storage and is deleted when the app is removed. This is expected and part of the app’s privacy model.

Slideshows appear slow or stutter

Try enabling Performance Mode in Settings, especially on older or slower devices.

Rewarded ad isn’t available

Ad availability is controlled by Google. If no ad is available (“no fill”), please try again later or check your internet connection.
